Founded in 1938, STVI, Société des Téléphériques de Val d'Isère was changed to Val d'Isère Téléphériques in 2012.
We have an exclusive concession to operate the lifts in the municipality of Val d'Isère, and a concession to operate the lifts on the Pisaillas glacier in the municipality of Bonneval sur Arc. This concession also gives us the responsibility for continual investment and the running of the artificial snowmakers.
Valbus is a subsidiary of Val d'Isère Téléphériques, which was created in 1982. Its teams maintain the shuttlebuses and transport customers, workers, and residents throughout the villages of Val d'Isère free of charge, day, and night, during the winter season. In one winter season, about 3 million journeys are made, over some 365,000 kilometres!
